So I'm starting Accutane this week, and I move in to my college this weekend. I'm in a fraternity so when my dermatologist told me to stick to 3 beers a night (when I'm drinking, so like Thursday-Saturday) I became frustrated.I'm pretty concerned about this because obviously alcohol is a big part of frat life. How strictly should I follow her advice? 5-6 months of only drinking beer does notsound like a good time. All advice is welcome, thanks!

Limited alcohol is only a guide due to the effects accutane could have on liver and kidneys, however i've seen people drink heavily on accutane and have been fine - where as another friend of mine had one beer and felt drunk.

Keep in mind that if drinking = dodgey blood tests next time around, you may be taken off accutane or reduced down to a smaller amount.

You could try a test and drink for three nights initially, take a private blood test, check the results  and see where you average out at against the alcohol you consumed. Just an idea? :)
