Why is Accutane not working for me?

Okay so I've been on accutane for a solid 3 and a half months now coz I had quite bad skin. But compared to what it is now, I'd be happy to have the skin I had before that! Everyone has constantly said to me that it gets better but they're skin saw an improvement at the latest like just at 3 months. I'm on 30mg but kinda do 40 or 50mg sometimes as well because I'm thinking maybe its not powerful enough, but the higher dosage i go (because i have been going up in tens), the worse it gets. This has been the worse my skin has gotten and i don't know what to do. I used to just have lots of little pimples everywhere but now they've completely changed into massive boils on my cheeks and chin! Ive tried letting my skin dry out and just not moisturise but then i can't really move my face, and then I've tried speeding up the process by trying things like tea tree oil on my pimples but nothing is working except for the side effects! Would love some confirmation on what else i should or shouldn't be doing please?

i did two courses of accutane. my first was 10 mg a day and i cleared instantly. the second course was this past october to april at 60mg a day (i only weigh 110 lbs female) and it was AWFUL. my skin NEVER cleared and was worse the entire time i took it. it seemed to do absolutely nothing up until the last day i stopped taking it my skin was disgusting and horrible. my skin is still breaking out pretty bad but atleast not as bad as while i was on it and its more manageable (I'm trying to find something that works since the holy grail for acne didnt work and my derm said she has nothing left for me) but yeah. more accutane is not always better. and just wanted you to know you're not the only one that isn't clear on month 3, i wasnt i was fucking covered and was until i finished a full 6 and a half month course. good luck to you

Don't be so stupid. If you want to mess around with drugs accutane is definitely not the one to do it with.
Not only should you not be upping the dose yourself - I suggest you do not allow your dermatologist to up your dose either.
Accutane ruins your longterm health. Do your research and don't mess around with accutane or any other drug for that matter.
