Lymecycline with moisturiser?

Hi there,

I'm currently most of the way through a course of Lymecycline in which I've been taking tablets twice a day for 2 months (one week left), and am really depressed about the fact that I've not noticed much difference at all. I came here to ask whether this could be because of the fact I've been experimenting with different facial scrubs, washes and moisturisers during the course, as the doctor didn't say I couldn't and I thought it would help things. I've checked each of the products I've been using during this and very few of their ingredients are comedogenic, for whatever that's worth. After recently doing some research and coming across the advice that facial scrubs (which I didn't even realise is the same as an exfoliator) can make active acne worse, I've stopped using mine, but now I'm wondering whether I should use a moisturiser, and whether this will also make things worse.

Please keep answers as science/evidence-backed as possible - I'm new to the cosmetics/skincare world and it's overwhelming as it is trying to find solutions that actually have substance behind them.

Thanks so much in advance,
Hashim

What is your skin type cysts/blackheads, oily, dry??

Scrubs do spread bacteria all over face especially cysts

To prevent dry skin take inside vitamin E and flaxseed oily daily
in the morning wash face with raw honey
on pimples apply lavender essential oil
always finish washing face with cold water
if your skin is dry use light hand with moisturizer
applyacne treatment every other day they'll work better
Apply buttermilk/kefir for 15-20 min every 2 days

Eat only organic dairy and meat, it makes a huge difference!
eat complex carbs, brown rice, quinoa and whole grains
lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
and eat fish daily
take vitamin D3, if you are inside most of the time
