Hi,

My dermatologist prescribed me Tazorac and wants me to use the "short contact therapy" where i put it on my face for 5 minutes and rinse off.. Then work the amount of time I keep it on my skin up. She also told me to put it on my skin (dirty skin) which sounds sooooooooo weird to me. What is the proper way to do this? i dont really feel comfortable putting it on my dirty skin, (i.e - makeup, sweaty from gym etc) it just sounds so wrong... So can i wash my face regularly in the shower, than put the tazorac on for say 5 minutes.. then wash it off with just water? or wash it off again with cleanser? Then apply night moisturizer? I'm a little confused of the order to do this in. What do you guys think?

I don't think you are supposed to put it on oily skin, it will go too deep and also spread faster, possibly to your eye area.
Ive always heard of putting it on clean, dry skin, and only at night.
And only a pea size amount ofcourse,

I also would NOT reccomend tazorac to anyone...just the fact that your derm only wants you to do short term contact is very telling of how powerful this stuff is...like a chemical peel...only you might not really peel and you could very well just end up with extremely ****** up skin for life.
And it will be a million times worse and harder to fix than just acne.
Please read the negative reviews before using this stuff as they are all too real,
ive been dealing with my own damage from this stuff for about 7 months after only using it twice!!
