Is my Doxycycline dosage too low?

I'm 17 and have what I would describe as moderate acne, no idea what type it is though. On the 1st of March my GP (I live in the UK) prescribed me 100 mg daily doxy. I've done a lot of research and most people seem to take 200 mg a day for acne. I'm now convinced it won't work.

100 mg should be enough. More and more people are taking even lower than 100 mg dosages, because antibiotics can work for acne by reducing inflammation(and you need lower dosage for that), not by reducing population of bacteria.
