Hi! I have been on Accutane since November 10th, 2016. The first month I started on 30mg and for month 2 my dermatologist increased my dosage to 60mg a month. About 3 days after taking 60mg a day, I got a bad cold and a terrible headache. The thing is, I don't really know what a headache is supposed to feel like, but it is similar to feeling hunger over and having your forehead dull and you feel pressure. I feel pressure between my eyebrows and the middle of my forehead. It's also like i've been staring at a computer screen for hours and you get a dull feeling. It is really bothersome and it makes me not want to do anything because I just don't feel normal. This is my second time on Accutane and I never got headaches first time around so I didn't really think much of it. I continued Accutane with the headaches for about 10 days until I decided to stop the pill to see if the headaches would stop. It has been 7 days since stopping and the feeling is still persisting. I told my dermatologist once it started and he said if i get "severe migraines" and if advil doesn't work to stop and see an ophthalmologist. I don't know if its a migraine, but i still stopped. Advil hasn't worked, advil cold and sinus hasn't either, and i just started sudafed, but i really doubt that will work as well. I'm honestly so sad and could cry at any moment because this pain won't go away. I don't see a neurologist until January 16th and that is just too long for me to bare with this. What should i do? Will it go away on its own? Thanks.

Hey. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I can only say to stick with it. Maybe your body is adapting to the increase in dose. I recently started accutane 20mg and had mild headaches for 3-4 days, and now I no longer get them. Try to occupy yourself with your friends, family. I always feel that helps. Don't cry. Ignore it and get on with your life. Life is too short. You'll look back in time one day and think to yourself I wish I enjoyed life more and you'll think to yourself that you were so stupid lol. I look back and think to myself how stupid I was. Honestly, just continue the meds, but if it gets too intolerable, I suggest you stop the meds. Hope it goes well. Good luck! x

I would say to also try and see a eye doctor as they will be able to see if there is inflammation of pressure of the eyes. Which can be found in intracranial pressure or pseudo tumorcerebri. Which can be found in someto happen in people who take Accutane. I can't say if your cold, allergies or severe dehydration were brought on so I would definitely get it checked by both specialist. Accutane is also known to lower the immune system in some.

Good Luck
