Hello everyone!

I am a 21 year old girl from the tiny island of Singapore.Differin is still a prescription medication here.

I have been recently suffering from a bout of adult (?) acne, which has been lasting close to a year. It's pretty minor-moderate acne, but i've never really had acne in my teenagehood, and seem to be getting it now that everyone has grown out of it. I recently started on Differin as prescribed by my doctor, and am coming on my 4th week of Differin.

At my last visit, my doctor told me to increase my use of Differin to twice a day. My skin has been improving, and my (pretty) minor IB has seemed to settle down, so i was a little confused about the increase. After spending some time on Google and the forum, I have realised that not many people have tried it out.

I can't really fight my doctor on this (because i can't get my Differin without a prescription), and was wondering if anyone has tried it with success. Does it speed up the results, or just make your skin more irritated?

My skin has been reacting pretty okay to the Differin so far, with minor peeling in certain dry areas but no other negative side effects (apart from the rising pimples, of course).

Thank you!

I think differin will dry acne and can make it a little irritated.Maybe the doctor prescribed some sunblock too.
I don't know If differin Will solve your problems, it depends on how is your acne .

I have never heard of using any retinoid twice a day. Even the lower strength ones. It can increase irritations, redness and peeling, and it will make your skin worse. They are best used at night when you are not exposed to the sun. Since you're getting better, don't mess with your routine.
