So I got a prescription from my doctor that should give me a single tube of clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide, but when I went to the pharmacy they didn't have it and gave me clindamycin phosphate topical gel 1% and another separate tube of benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, I do not know how to apply these together, do I mix them in a bowl, do I apply one over the other, or do I just use one at in the morning and one at night? Please help me out, trying to get rid of acne as fast as possible!
Are you certain that is how your doctor wrote it? If so, they should not have given you two separate tubes... they should have ordered the actual prescription as it was written. That is poor practice on the pharmacist's part... to put it nicely. If you're absolutely certain that your doctor wrote it the way you think, then you need to contact the pharmacy, AND your doctor. To answer your question, since benzoyl peroxide can bleach your clothing, I would imagine you should put it on at night, so that when you sweat during the day you don't bleach your clothes. Still, this all seems weird.
