It looks like accutane ate the top layer
of my skin and leaves those deep red
areas.
Is this just the shedding part of the accutane progress or is it scarring that will haunt me the rest of my life? I know the redness will fade. Will the deep areas heal over time ?? I feel so bad 🙁 the redness has faded a little bit but the depth of those red areas looks just like how it was 2 months ago
oh my gosh your progress is amazing! Your skin has cleared up so much,
I know it's hard because although having fewer spots is great you might not feel any better about your skin overall, but that redness will definitely go down gradually as your skin heals. It looks so much fresher now, please be happy!
Even if it's not apparent since we're all more critical of ourselves than others are of us, your skin has made excellent progress, do not give up hope! Red marks are very hard to fade in most people's skin. Also, you don't even seem to have any textural/pitted scarring, it's mostly pigmentation and it's definitely a lot easier to eventually get rid of than deep dermal scars. There's a possibility that laser treatments like Fraxel could really help once you're done Accutane. You can start saving for that and see it as the end goal.
Jesus christ, Would my skin be this bumpy if i didn't take accutane? I used to be one of the most handsome guy of the school but now i look so ugly ass. It took everything from me : my skin, my confidence and my life's pleasures. I can't enjoy anything. The only thing i notice while talking to someone is their skin. I'm always afraid of what people will say and how their attitude will be if i put my face mask off (i always wear facemask when i'm outside). It's been almost 5 months and i still look like shit
Hi! I know now you may feel bad because of your skin. Its normal, I had a friend which had to be on Accutane for 8 months or so. Her skin during this period was terrible, her lips were dry, she had to cover all up with makeup, but even with the makeup it was noticeable. But she kept fighting. Now, i swear to you she has perfect skin. All the friends i had that took accutane now are perfect with that. Im not telling you how is going to be in a few months, I cant know it and neither do you, but trust me, it will get better. Im sure youre still handsome. Think about the future and keep going. You are not just your skin, you are many more things. I hope youll solve it. Try to be positive, it really gets better with time. Hope this helps!
Yes. They are not red now but they were. Her dermatologist said that theyll fill up with time, something about the regeneration of the skin, but he said to her that, if she wanted fast results, she could do the dermabrasion? thing (i think its its name). Anyways, patience is key, i know it from them, so keep going!
