Hi all,

My question is pretty straightforward, some say it does and some say it doesn't.

Does Accutane stunt growth?

Thanks (I am 5 10' - 14 yrs),

Well it certainly didn't for me lol.  I took it when I was 15 (I'm 23 now) and I'm like the tallest person in my friend group. Even taller than a lot of my guy friends!

" Accutane may stop long bone growth in teenagers who are still growing."

This is from the FDA website and it's a well known side effect. Yes, it halts growth. That's why doctors aren't supposed to prescribe it to growing teenagers as yourself. It also has a lot of other side effects. Hands down,it's the most dangerous acne drug to take. Only take it if it's alast resort.

Yes it does and it also causes longterm/permanent side effects like low libido and ED. Look at other topics on this forum.
I don't think any kid should be taking this drug. Please be informed - do you research.
