I'm just about finished with my 3rd month of accutane 40mg month one 80 next 2.
ive really began noticing that my short term memory has just disappeared. I can listen to someone and totally not soak in what they said a minute ago. I cannot remember what the first sentence was of this paragraph without checking. My cognitive function feels really slow and I have to really think about what to write or what to say when talking to someone. Another thing I've noticed is slower reaction time. Even though it's s lame example I've dropped from being top 0.5% on a game called league of legends to 6% (top 1000 to top 70,000) I noticed i feel brainless, I don't react to something occurring until I process it afterwords, which results in like a second or 2 second delay.
this was not an issue prior to accutane. Has anyone else experienced this sluggish feeling? I think I've read somewhere that this goes away after stopping for a while? Should i be worried? Any experience greatly appetciated.
Cant say it happened to me ... BUT accutane can make you tired. It's an exhausting drug to be on as it dries out your body, thus making you require a lot more energy to do general activities without you noticing.
it's likely you're just fatigued, and that will definately fade after stopping.
also you may be reading too much into it. I can't remember what my first paragraph said entirely because it's purely a short term non-important thing, my mind has trailed off into what i'm currently typing. I wouldn't be able to type this and think about what i'm typing, and remember entirely what I wrote in my first paragraph - that's normal

The thing is that this occurs with important things as well, like conversations that happened a minute ago. I started to look into it after I've noticed this, because it's become so obvious to me, and I realize it wasn't like this prior to accutane.
