Hello!
I have finally gone to a derm after 15 years of trying everything for my hormonal cystic acne on my chin. I am 44 years old. The chin acne started after my second son was born. I have the Mirena BC, so I know that is not helping the hormones, however I had such heavy periods that I was getting anemic. I was prescribed 50mg daily of spiro, Aczone on chin morning and night, and the Tactupump once a week to start.
I have read as much as I can on these products, and would love for anyone who is using the same as me to let me know their results. I just started the spiro and Aczone 2 days ago, so I am not expecting a miracle yet. I haven't tried the Accupump, but will this weekend.
I usually get one or two monsters on my chin at least every two weeks, and they take forever to heal.
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hope you come back online for encouragement and support. I've been on Spironolactone for over 2 years and it really does work to help balance out hormones, block androgens. It does take time as any hormonal treatment requires patience. It took 3 1/2-4 months when I first started to finally have truly clear skin. It required me to be gentle to my skin, rotate in chemical peels to help along the purging process and lots of faith and many nights spent ready reviews on here and listening to the stories of all you wonderful ladies.
