Hello!
- I've been taking accutane and i learned more about the side affects and learned that i don't want to deal with side affects and other stuff with it and thinning of the skin, i experienced that where i peeled a lot and gave me little tiny scars just from peeling! They mostly filled and went back to their original skin color (thank god). Well i was on accutane for 5 Days then stopped for 30mg twice a day so 60mg a day. How long will it take to leave my body it's been about 7ish days since my last pill Monday 1/20/16 and now 1/31/16 my oil came back to my face i can feel my forehead a little more oily and my cheeks. Also when should it be safe for laser treatment or other invasive to evasive  treatments i know people say 6 months but i was only for very very brief amount of time, so wound healing should return quicker for me since i stopped it early as compared to someone who did 5 to 6 month treatment. Any answer will be appreciated :new_smiley_4:

I cant imagine that 5 days of taking accutane would do anything. I think the drug is out of your system in 10 days. Call your derm and ask them, nobody on this site is qualified to answer that question.

If it bothers you that much, you should really reconsider accutane. Millions of people take accutane every day, only a very very small percentage of people experience bad (hair loss, depression, stomach issues) side effects. 99.99% of people are totally fine taking the drug.

Just got back from the dermatologist, just to give you an example. My dermatologist sees 10 patients a day that are taking accutane, 5 days a week. He has been doing it for 25 years. He hasnt had a patient with any of the really bad side effects, ever. The internet is full of hypochondriacs that want to blame everything on Accutane. Granted there are some really bad possible side effects if you are a female and you get pregnant. But for the most part you will be fine.

Ok. It sounds like things are working out well for you. My experience is that I will break out and consider accutane and my breakout will die down and I would think I didn't need it until I break out again. I did this for years, when I should have just started accutane from the beginning and could have gone years without acne.

Yeah I know what you mean but I think I'll be fine or I'll just wait and see what my skin does cause I don't think I need it right now but who knows I'll save it for a rainy day howl fully my skin refills and is acne free so good luck to you and more

No. Accutane stays in your system for up to 30 days. Also, the severity of the symptoms subside after about six weeks. Second point, if you don't like the dryness and irritation of Accutane, lasers and chemical peels aren't going to be any better, and they aren't going to be more effective. Talk to your doctor before discontinuing treatment.

I do regret taking this drug very very much it makes you scar MUCH. Easier cause it thins your skin I hate it so much I wish I never took this drug my ance isn't even that bad but my derm urged me that I should take it, but oh well I can't change anything I guess that's just life
