i'm at my wits end with my acne, it isn't bad enough to go on accutane really but it still makes me miserable. i'm not sure my doc would prescribe accutane anyway and the side effects sound a bit much for me.
some background-
im currently taking tetracycline 250 mg every morning, this has improved my acne but definitely not cured it. i've been taking this for 9 months and i'm a bit worried to be on it more than a year.
i used epiduo for a bit but it burned my skin so much, i'm trying it again now and its currently burning so much again. i know i should just push through but its hard and i'm worried it wont even work
i've been on dianette and i was allergic
the pill always seems to eff up my cycle and not work for me for some reason
does anyone know anything else i can try? what worked for you guys
im also a 19 y/o girl if thats relevant. i've had acne since i was 8
first 3 photos are before the antibiotics, second 2 are after but i just took them in a rush and my skin looks slightly better than it is. close enough though

Accutane isn't just for severe acne; it is also for stubborn, long-term acne. If your acne makes you this miserable and you've been dealing with it for 11 years, personally I'd tell you that 5-7 months of Accutane's side effects might be worth it. It's got an astonishingly high success rate and usually keeps acne, especially mild acne such as yours, away forever. I would really consider it. Most people, aside from the crazy things you may read on the internet, only get really dry skin and lips as a side effect. Other side effects are much less common. I'm on Accutane and my only side effect so far is mildly dry skin and lips, which honestly could just be due to the winter time.
Also, try treating your acne scarring with products such as vitamin E gels, oils, and moisturizers. Use them every day, morning and night. A lot of what I see in your pictures is more scarring than active acne. Nevertheless, Accutane would most likely benefit you! Good luck, dear 
Have you tried the Regimen here at Acne.org? I had tried all sorts of things, both over the counter and prescriptions. I think my skin was revolting against all of the stuff I had tried. As a last ditch effort I ordered the Regimen here and I cannot say enough about the results. I use it religiously and my skin is clear and glows. Even if i do get a pimple (which rarely happens anymore) it is gone within a day or two. The products are more gentle than what I had been using before but are extremely effective at the same time. If you haven't looked into the Regimen, take a minute to read about it and check out the reviews. It could be worth a try. Good luck to you!
