Hi guys,

Following on from my diary, I'm coming off Accutane next week. Does anyone have any tips or info? I'm planning on continuing a healthy diet, basic, gentle skincare.

My skin has been pretty red - esp on nose - when will that go? Will I feel ill or anything due to withdrawal? I had diorrhoea & headaches when I went on.

Many thanks for insights!

I recommend sticking to your current skincare routine entirely. Keep it basic and don't change it - it works. The only thing I would add is a topical to keep it at bay for maintenence. Ones like epiduo are used and applied even on ClEAR skin to stop future breakouts.

as for the redness, it's hard to say entirely, but it probably will diminish over time

Lore91 is right about continuing with a topical if you can tolerate it. Epiduo or differin are mild and effective. I would wait until the redness goes away before trying.Sunscreen and moisturizer are always important. I swear by them and they make a big difference.
