So I've been suffering with severe acne for over a year now, cysts, zits, black heads. Everything. It's been one of the most painful things I've experienced, physically and mentally. It itches and burns constantly and makes my face look red and swollen like a balloon. I've tried everything, anti biotics topical and oral, retinoids, diet changes. It just gets worse to be honest.
I'm finally biting the bullet and starting Accutane, I'm very scared. I'm 15 and male. The side effects the worry me the most are depression, hair loss since I love my hair, irritable bowel and erectile dysfunction. In the long run is it worth it? This isn't just teenage acne like a lot go through, it's very severe and people think somethings wrong with me half the time it also hurts as I mentioned.
I'd just like some input
Ps I suffered from anxiety and panic disorder, will this make that come back?
@Clayman9, causes of your anxiety it's because your worried mixed emotions of the acne problem,.etc and erectile dysfunction.. You better calm down yourself.
Regarding to your severe acne in your very young age, it's also my problem.
I'm starting to used now the "Celeteque:DermoScience+ ACNE SOLUTIONSline to lessen my worries about my acne. Since celeteque acne solutions has AHA that helps clear up acne and fade acne scars slowly. Think of it. Anyway, you can search it through google..GL
Don't worry, don't stress. I've taken it for 6 months and am finally 100% clear.
My advice- Eat healthy, LOTS of water, AQUAPHOR for dry lips, exercise, don't miss any pills so it stays consistent, and absolutely NO STRESSING. By the end of it you WILL have clear skin I promise you! Message me of any questions.
Itworked wonders for me. I had psychological problems before I started and it had no mood changeswhatsoever. No back pain, headaches, hair loss, digestive problems orerectile dysfunction,
i personally think that most of the alleged side effects are either coincidental or exaggerated. Dry lips and skin are a real pain in the butt. Use aquaphor lip balm, and cerave moisturizer on your face. Remember that your dermatologist is the best source of information.
It really helps most people
good luck
yeah but now that anxiety is mixing in with an age where your suspect to puberty. If the acne is severe, try to go on it and also try to find a way to take care of the anxiety because your going through a rough time. you'll get through it though its just a rough patch. I'm on my 5 month and now im finally clear. dont worry about erectile dysfunction, hair loss, dont worry about them you'll be ok.\
This is just my opinion i believe starting at a high dose is better cause even though it can make you break out, so can 20mg like it did in my case. I had like 3 pimples in my chin and got a bunch of break outs from 20mg-40mg and they lingered. When your on 60mg a day they seem to just disapear alot more faster which in my common sense ( the less a pimple stays on your face, the faster the mark fades)
Thats my opinion though, do your own research and feel out your doctor. I started to clear on month 4when I got upped to 60mg and now I'm either with no active acne on face or just a single pimple. Maybe it was the dosage accumulating, Idk. I just want everyone to have the best experience possible because I know what its like and im going through it right now.

consult for proven and tested dermatologist.
In my case now, my acne problems is not anymore my causes to panic. Since I started using the celeteque kit, It slows down the acne formation on my face..^^
No harm in trying and always used proven and tested products for face problems..
I've now been on this for a month taking 30mg a day. And everyone has commented on how well my skin looks already as for side effects only one I have noticed is my lips are a wee bit dry by nothing to bad. And to be honest I feel great and have suffered with depression in the past so was one of the reasons I was worried about taking it. Its defo worth it so far. Everyone will have different side effects but that's why they keep a close eye on you. So try not to worrie and you may be surprised like me
