I will make this short because I typed a very long post and it got lost.
Does anyone here take a low dose of Accutane for mild acne and Seborrheic Dermatitis here in the US??
It is very common in countries outside the US and my Derm has told me he has done it in the past, but Kaiser will not allow him to do it going forward.
I am 28 and recently had my acne come back as well as Seborrheic Dermatitis, so all the steriods make me break out and all the acne ointments make my SB flare up.
Should I just get on another full cycle of Accutane, this will be my 3rd cycle. Its been 9 years since my last cycle of accutane and I had no side effects. I was 9 years with basically no acne. HELP
I would say the first course worked very well. My face has been basically acne free since I was a sophomore in high school. Im 28 now. I had to take the second course because I started breaking out on my lower back for some reason and the Derm said it was the only option. It has been 9 years since that last cycle and I have had no issues until the last 5 months.
I have tried diet, topical steroids, and antibiotics.
My skin has been extremely oily and I think that is whats causing these small breakout. I wouldn't really care if they were regular white heads, but they are deep clogged pores that swell up and stay for days. Plus they are all on the side of my nose.
