I've been on Accutane/Isotretinoin for 6 months, and I'm still getting acne (took my last pill yesterday).After I'd been on the medication for a couple of months my skin was completely clear, but the last few months I've been getting breakouts. It's not as bad as before, but still pretty annoying. I was just wondering if this has happened to someone else?
It happens more often than people like to admit. The accutane today is not the same as the formulation back in the day. Some people end up clearing up a few months AFTER being off for a while. If it bothers you a lot, follow up with your derm for a topical regimen. Life style changes may also be something to consider.
