ok background story: had mild-moderate acne for a while and its on and off. i also have super oily skin. so my derm prescribed me oratane (same as accutane).
week one: had 2-3 small pimple on my right cheek during day 3-4 ( now its day 14 it faded but theres still dark spots ).my face is still abit oily after few hours but not as oily as before i was on oratane.
week two: during middle of week two, grown two big and red pimple on my left cheek and it hurts. yesterday ( day 13) i grew another pimple on my right cheek and it hurts when i pressed. i am so worried man im not sure whether this is my IB.so yesterday i went to my derm and he saw my two red pimples and he helped me to pop it with a needle and he also prescribed me with prednisolone 10mg daily (5mg x 2) for the first week and 5mg daily for the second week.
so now basically on my left cheek theres two dark red dried small bumps(cus my derm popped it) and its arld flattened abit and on my right cheek theres alot of small dark spots.
so today on day 14 i just took my 2nd pred 10mg and i really hope my dried pimple can go away within days because i got to go somewhere and i heard pred is a miracle drug but i am super afraid that there will be flare ups after i stopped two weeks later.i still on oratane while im eating my preds tho.
okay anyone can tell me whats the difference between prednisone and predisolone(which is wad im prescribed)
and given my pred prescription , will there be any return flare ups after i stop?
i will continue to post my oratane/accutane log here. starting week 3 now!!
day 15: i must say i think my face is a bit worse than when i was on oratane. because before i went to see my derm i had constant cystic pimples growing on my chin and on the corners of my mouth. and just some small pimples on my cheeks.
the good thing now is that i do not have any more pimples growing on my chin, my chin is pretty clean now. however there are alot of pimple marks on my cheeks. and these pimple marks on my cheeks are very persistent . im really very moody these few days some one please help me 
so day 16 i found out that my skin is actually dry ( for the first time omg) .usually it gets oily after 3-4 hours. when i was on oratane for the first 2 weeks it was less oily but still abit oily. but i started to notice it was actually dry when i started my pred which was 3 days ago. i dont know whether its the effects of pred or just the effects of my oratane kickin in. comparing today to two days ago, i'll say today isnt as bad as two days ago. the two pimples on my left cheeks are flat and are dark marks instead of red. i hope it will become even better after a few days. fingers crossed. btw havent had any pimples growing after i had my pred!
Day 23: so i just had my 23rd pill just now and i stopped my pred 2 days ago( i only ate it for 9 days instead of 14 because im afraid my pimples will come back if i stopped eating ) . had a couple of pimples on my forehead during the 9 days of pred but they healed pretty fast. didn't really had any pimples grown during the 9 days of pred except one small red bump on my right cheek that didn't 'evolve' into a pimple. sigh i just looked into the mirror and i still quite depressed because my right cheek has alot of pimple marks while my left cheek have red patches from my previous two huge ass pimples.didnt really had alot ofpimples on my cheek a month before i was on my meds.i would say i got around 75% of acne marks during my med periods (esp during week2-3) my skin and lips are really dry now. im just want to know why these marks eventually fade and how long will it take to fade
