Give it time. I didn't stop getting breakouts until the second month. You could use 2.5 % benzoyl peroxide wash to help out your face. Be careful not bleach your hair, or clothes. But avoid topical retinoids and keep up with moisturizer and sunscreen. Stick with it, it's worth the wait
does this mean it's not working or i need a higher dose? my lips are chapped and i'm losing a bit of hair but my face itself is still oily and i'm still breaking out. i'm worried that if my skin doesn't get try, i'll keep getting acne.
Hi, dont worry....2 weeks is still early in your treatment....I'm just over 3 weeks into a 20mg daily treatment....I startedtaking accutane to control my very oily skin and have noticed my skin is alot dryer (and my lips)......everyone is different(and everyones dosage is different), so dont get too worried, as the last poster has said, you should notice a difference (less oily) as you get to the end of your first month...best wishes
One thing I want to note that other people didn't, take the accutane with a fatty meal. Make sure to utilize the calories with good fats to help with skin repair and keep the hair loss to a minimal (basically filling up any other vitamin deficiencies). Peanut butter and avocados are amazing, and olive oil is good thing to cook meals with

Good point acnehardcase......My Derm said to carry on doingmy normalskinregimen, while the accutane starts working.....I've used Panoxyl 10 (10% benzoyl peroxide) for the past 15-20 years, so my skin isnt sensitive to the high strength and I've been using that for the first 3 and a bit weeks of accutane treatment, at some point I will start to reduce the amount of Panoxyl I use.....Maybe many stop their normal, daily regimens tooearly and dont give their accutane treatment long enough to work....too much change to your regimen, too quickly doesnt always help....
