I went to my general doctor and he prescribed me with Clindamycin phosphate 1% Water based. It has that cap you can put on that allows you to tab it on your face. I've never used anything like this, at first I didn't know what to do, I expected a gel or lotion. Does anyone also use this and have good results?

I have mild adult acne, and I am going to get an appt. with a dermotologist soon.

Another question I have is...are you supposed to clean the dabber top? I've rinsed water through it, and dried it, but will this dillute the product when applied? You have to clean it somehow right?

So far it's working good in some spots, and breaking me out a little in some other spots, but I haven't even been using it a week yet, and it has been helping some areas, and I Like that it doesn't dry me out like BP or SA.

So did you use the water based with the dabber or the gel or lotion?

I used the gel solution for the last year and it works well at first it really reduces the size of the spot even over night I think. I do think it started to stop working after a while though.

I used it along with taking doxycycline and was kinda clear but it didn't work miracles.

my skin has majorly flared up since these two things stopped working and now im ok acne.org regimen. I wouldn't say clindamycin would work on servere acne I would say it's more a spot treatment than a preventative measure
