Literally I found my cute after YEARS of constant acne.

No, it's still not flawless or perfect skin but 100000 times better than it used to be, so much so that I am sometimes excited when I look in the mirror at my skin.

Okay, let's get to it!

I went on Alesse birth control, now, WAIT A FULL THREE MONTHS before judging this pill and jumping to conclusions. It didn't help my skin at alll the first three months, in fact it may have made it worse (which makes sense since hormones are trying to figure everything out) but now im on my fourth month and my skin is better than ever. This is also a low risk birth control pill and also works for contraceptive use if necessary. Also lightens periods.

Then I use Aczone gel as a spot treatment. Let me stress this: ACZONE IS A MIRACLE CREAM. it's expensive but COMPLETELY worth it. Makes my pimples go away in just days, occasionally overnight!

Then I use Biothem H20 Sensibo Micelle water based makeup remover and cleanser which is completely oil free and COMPLETELY gets rid of any makeup on your face while cleansing it! My face feels tingly and clean afterwards, it's an amazing feeling.

Then I rinse off with my Cetaphil cleanser, as its gentle and perfect to use to not irritate the skin further. Sometimes (not daily) I use the Clinique Step 3 Astrigent for combination/oily skin on blemishes I've popped (oops) to try and reduce the swelling and irritation and it seems to work, I also use it on my back or after a workout.

But yes. TRY THIS PLEASE. I hope it works for you like it did for me :)

Alesse worked very well for me as a teenager/early 20s -- the only problem I experienced was some spotting -- so my trusted gyno bumped me up to Levora  -- which is basically the same as Alesse hormone (EE & levornogestrel) wise -- but just slightly more estrogen and progesterone. Again -- no problems -- fixed my spotting too. Wasn't until I attempted to trust another new doctors opinion that I should switch to Yasmin (Ocella) because  it was "so much better" that I experienced acne for the first time in life life at 25. Been off the pill since that horrible experience and am nervous but hopeful Levora will work for me again. I went back to my regular  gyno and she is almost certain I will be fine and is very upset with the other doctor recommending me to swich without any good reason.
