Okay, so I'm 14. I have been on spironolactone for 2 months now. I had my period first on like April 19 and it was lighter than usual, and it lasted less time. Then I got it again may 1. This was more normal and lasted the same length as usual. Then yesterday (May 14) I got it again and it seems to be like the first one was, very light. My mom wants me just to quit spiro cold turkey. Is that a good idea?
spiro is known to mess up your cycle but it will get better in time. your body has to adjust to the medication. i've been on it for about 2 1/2 years and at first i got 2 periods a month for a while and then it went to 1 period a month like normal. usually about twice a year though it will come early or late but its no biggie.
