For those that have had success with clindamycin, have you experienced resistance to it? I've been on it for about 1 year (topical clindamycin, 2x per day) and it still works great. I also use adapalene which I've been on for around 2 years.
My original prescribing derm told me he was "not worried" about clindamycin resistance. My current derm also said he has not seem problems with resistance and he prescribes it to patients daily. He said he has 70 year old men who still use it.
I only use it on 1/2 of my face. It is the ONLY thing that has cleared my acne, and I'm praying it keeps working. What is your experience? Also, this survey will likely be flawed, given that most people who've had success no longer need to visit this board.
I'm a 31 y/o male with mild/moderate adult acne (almost no facial acne since starting clindamycin).
Thanks.
Have experience with clindamycin in the form of Clindoxyl, worked for me after a few months of use. Kept my skin quite clear up until the product I was using went into shortage. Stopped use and acne slowly came back. Picked up Tactuo, the canadian version of epiduo, after 3 months, a week shy of four, my acne was still so bad that I felt forced to end it.
Found out that Clindoxyl is back in supply and started back on it 2 days ago. Hoping to see results again like I once did!
