So I have a script for doxy for 2 months and am nearly through the first month or so. I use isotrex gel in the evenings too which I have done for about the past 2 months now. Does anyone have any advice for tapering off antibiotics or if I should just stop them cold turkey completely? Also, I have some clindamycin gel which I had been using in the past when off the anti-b's for use in the day, should I start applying this again once I'm off the doxy completely, or during the 'taper' as it were.
Any comments/experience greatly appreciated. thanks!a
My experience with antibiotics is they're only a fix when you're on the antibiotic and once you get off it most likely breaks you out until you take it again. But some people are lucky! I think you should use the clinda right now before tapering off to get rid of any bacteria on your skin that could get back into your system.
