Hello friends. I have been an axne sufferer for nine years. I finished accutane up in December, and my skin was great. Now it's 2.5 months later, and my skin isn't terrible, but I have a lot of clogged pores. I'm lost and frustrated with what to do. Currently I wash my face with Cetaphil Daily Cleanser and use Cetaphil Daily Moistuizer. I use the clarisonic at night time. I am also on birth control. I do wear makeup.

 

I don't know if I should start a retinoid, use a toner, change moisturizers, use salylcic acid, or change my makeup. I Will take suggestions on any of these subjects. I am currently using Lancome Tiente Idole 24 hr liquid foundation which I love, but im scared its breaking me out. I would love any suggestions! Xoxo

Mmmm, i would def head back to the derm asap

Did your derm suggest any topicals like retin-a or finacea or even OTC to prevent future clogs?

I would get on top of it before it gets worse

hey kimber607. Thanks for your reply. Nonthey didn't suggest anything they just wanted to use gentle stuff for awhile. I have an appointment on Friday!

I hear every Dr is different

from what I understand no heavy duty procedures like lasers or peels after tane

BUT some Derms do start patients off on topicals such as retin-a to keep their skin clear

Mys kin hates cetaphil

are u using the same products while on tane and they worked for you?

I have been using Cetaphil forever. What doesn't your skin like about it? IM just scared to switch too much. I like how it is a gentle cleanser. I guess I will just wait and see what my dermo says. It's all so frustrating.
