hey guys

i been on accutane before (20mg) for couple months but i stopped duet to high test results ...my alt and ast were 123 (normally they should be less than 50)

but this time around im on accutane again but on half the dose (10mg per day)

and so far it been one week my alt and ast are quiet normal ....i was wondering if being on this low dose coulpd prevent them from going high one more time ....accutane is my last chance to feel normal ...and i hate to find myself stopping it again ??

thanks in advance

Hey, I've had similar issues since I started accutane. I'm about to start my third month. My liver enzymes were about double my normal levels. After the first month they went to 70 and after my second month they went down to 56. They're still elevated, but I started taking CoQ10 after the first month as suggested by my primary care doctor and approved by my dermatologist. It might help you too, but make sure to check with your doctor first!

hey thanks for the advice

my liver enzyms were 180 ...my doctor was freaked out ...he orderedme to stop accutane for a month ...and after that month ...my alt went back to normal 20

my doctor was even more suprised ...i asked around and i been told that my high levels may be from weight lifting because i burned my muscles and i was super sore for days .....and that could explain why they were elevated .....man the only time i decided to lift weights ...damn it
