I've been on a low dose of accutane for a month now (20mg a day). I'm noticing my right eye is slightly blurry and if I look up or to the sides I feel a mild pain. It is only with my right eye. Is this normal or should I end treatment immediately?

I have never wore contacts or glasses. I actually tried this dose about 6 months ago and quit at the one month mark because of the same reason. Though I never noticed eye pain. I went to an eye doctor who said it seemed like I had a slight astigmatism. A few months after I was pretty much normal except I noticed a little blurred vision at random times. My night vision came back perfectly and my blurry eye was hardly ever noticeable.

I'm not sure if I have an astigmatism in that eye and accutane dries my eyes out which just makes me notice it, or if accutane is deteriorating my eyesight.

It's not worth your health. I was on pills that turned my eyes yellow. meant it was interfering with my gut or liver or something. since going natural, I'm repairing the damage to my digestive system.

I suggest figuring out whats wrong with your body through tests and examinations, but if you want a natural accutane alternative, you can start eating 5 pounds of carrots a day. Or just eat vitamin A rich foods. But there is no guarantee that increasing vitamin A (major accutane ingredient) will solve your problem, as you must figure out why you sprcifically may be getting acne.

Good luck!

There is a condition called intracranial hypertension, also known as psuedotumor cerebri, that can result from using retinoid drugs like Accutane.

Common symptoms are blurry vision and headaches.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiopathic_intracranial_hypertension

Intracranial pressure may be increased due to medications such as high-dose vitamin A derivatives (e.g. isotretinoin for acne), long-term tetracycline antibiotics (for a variety of skin conditions) and hormonal contraceptives. There are numerous other diseases, mostly rare conditions, that may lead to intracranial hypertension. If there is an underlying cause, the condition is termed "secondary intracranial hypertension".[1] Common causes of secondary intracranial hypertension include obstructive sleep apnea (a sleep-related breathing disorder), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), chronic kidney disease, and Behcet's disease.

You should probably discuss your problems with your doctor immediately.
