I have been on accutane for three months and I have been noticing that there is a patch of thin limp hair on my hairline. Did anyone else experience anything like this? My hair used to be oily, thick, and straight but now it is dry, thin, and limp in that area. I used to not be able to see my scalp but the hair is so thin I can see it. Will my hair go back to normal? I have my next derm appointment in ten days. =(
Heya, I didn't have exactly the same thing but I had a strange hair issue too - I was 16 when on actuate and after 6 weeks I started to develop a circular patch of facial hair on my cheek! (I'm female!)
It didn't get very long and about a month after I stopped accutane it seemed to fall out and my face went more or less normal again. My hair was very very dry and broke easily on accutane too but it did eventually go back to normal x

Hey finished my course the first week of November. I had major shedding the last 3 months and yes I was freaking out, but it has grown back. My hair is thick and it keeps getting stronger and stronger. I also take biotin too.
both great to hear!
The first time I took Accutane, I did the 3-4 month course and at that dose, my thick wavy hair turned thinned and super curly.
It grew out though, and it returned to normal.
On this ultra-low dose I'm on now, I haven't noticed any changes except not as oily, obviously, and maybe it holds a curl better when styled.
