I dont know why I have not done it before my last appointment but everything I read is that you have to be clear during at least one month before stopping Tane. Which is really not my case. God I'm so freaked out!!! I had not expected that the worst part of all this would be to get off. There was no way I would imagine having to ask for another extra month... I didn't even think about it. I'm over the 150 mg/kg. I just thought we could not go too much over that range. i so don't know what to do. You are all lucky to have proper derms.

My Dr rec I stop to see if its irritation BUT also suggested if i am still getting any pimples I MIGHT want to stay on..maybe she started leaning towards taking a break because of that is the way I was leaning

No one knows 110% with this crap

Most people after tane are clear and happy

BUT some dont STOP breaking out the entire course until they stop tane and others never stop...so I dont see the point in putting more and more and more of this drug in our bodies

I really feel at 6 mnths...at this point..it either worked or it didnt

of course that is just my feeling

I was getting small random red bumps..1 here...2 next day

BUT i got 2 from yesterday morning to evening..this has never happened...so I dont know what to think

BUT anxious to get this out of my system and start topicals

My lips are awful..burning all the time and red raw patches above my lip...to me this indicates I have enough of this drug in my system that it should be doing its job

I dont have much hope ill be completely clear..ever

i just done want red bumps popping up daily!...gotta shoot small at this point

Hey guys! I disappeared for a bit there but I'm all caught up now. Sounds like everyone is almost done? I'm the caboose bc I still have a month left. I need to see where I am on my cumulative dose bc I've not always taken the full amount prescribed.

So I was in a wedding last weekend and my dr said I could stop the medicine for a few days to see if the breakouts on my nose would go away in time for the wedding. And they did!! And I swear the minute I started the crap again I broke out again. Those angry red dots, not true black heads. I have one on my cheek and one near my temple right now. I've only been taking 30 per day but need to get back up to 30 twice a day. I am with you Kim, I honestly think my face is just over it and I'd clear up if I stopped. Once I figure out my cumulative dose I will evaluate. They want me to do blood work after I'm done and I'm going to tell them to kiss it. No more needles!! Anyway, would yall please report back on your post tane skin???

Im going to end on the low end of my red cumulative dose but i dont care!!!

Last dose was yesterday and not that I expected an over night miracle but my lips are SHEDDINg and upper lip is on FIRE....bright red above my upper lip (color blood/blotches)

HOPING the red bumps stop or become fewer and far between

using vanicream lite....much lighter moisturizer than I was using

see some red blotches in my skin and seems more dry but hoping as ils come back a little it will even out

VERY anxious today!!!!!

what will my post tane skin and life be like?

I cant wait to get some energy back and get rid of these dark circles and look like I am among the living..not walking corpse!!

Good lord, another one just under one of those I got since last Sunday. They are all lined up... they're 3-4 in a straight line. It really seems that only one area of my face is breaking out and thinking about, I realize that it has always been the worst area on my face. Is it possible that just one area is not responding while the rest of the face does? If it was not for this 4 cm square area (right corner of my chin), my face would have been totally clear for a little while now. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

To give you an idea... the rest of my face has been acne free for a little while now. (Not even talking about red marks) sorry for the bad quality... I took it with my iPod

I would really suggest a THIN layer of 2.5 BP on your chin am or am/pm if you can tolerate it!

Thanks for your understanding! I just found 5% BP at the pharmacy I went yesterday. I put some on the fresh pimples and it really helped. It made them dry overnight, The only problem is that I find it sometimes worse to have crusty dry pimples. At least the new ones don't seem to make a white head and are quite small. Fingers crossed. I soooooooo hope it's just an isolated breakout and that it doesn't mean anything bad. The worst thing to deal with now is the fear of getting back to square 1. If I could be sure that my skin would be quite clear overall it would be so much easier to deal with this breakout. I guess everyone here understands that very well. I should also keep the # of psychologist near by!!

so the 2.5 will do the job and possible not be as drying...might be worth a shot if you could find

Today I awoke with a itchy red bump on forehead! annnd I had this lttle comedone on my nose for the last year at least which blew into a huge ZIT! I think that's a good thing b.c it will @ least go away now..but not happy about that red bump..it's the type that comes up a few days before a mega zit..

Well tried new routine thought as my face always hated moisturizer would go bare bones

splash rose water (cheap and is supposed to calm redness and be an anti-inflamm)

I picked up at health food store $12 plain straight up squalane

supposed to be soothing/hydrating etc

so used this routine last nigth and I was a nervous wreck

Only those of use whos faces explode overnight from new products will understand

so all good..sort of..woke with a small red inflammed whitehead at the corner lower part of my eye (dark circle would be from tane)

so now i get to dwell over if it was the products, my crappy skin or tane

Tane must still be in my system BIG TIME because my lips are on fire and i almost seriously considered taking ibuprofen for them

I'm one day off of accutane and I have a huge cyst between my eyes!!!! Huuuge with a disgusting white center..

I'm still holding onto what my derm said from day one...a lot of people see the biggest change even months after they stop taking tane...
