Hello All,
So I went on Accutane exactly a year ago. I was on 80 mg for 5 months. After the completion of month 2 on Accutane, I was acne free and continued to be acne free till this past August (6 months after getting off Accutane). The acne came back and I am now on round 2 of Accutane(80 mg). I have been on it a little over a week now. My question is will the clearing process be quicker this time around considering I have been on Accutane before? Also, just 2 days after beginning my 2nd round of Accutane, I began to breakout more and in a different way then usual, large clumps of acne all over my face (usually its just chin and jawline area but now on cheeks and forehead). Could this be the initial breakout? Hard to believe this early but I can find no other explanation.
Also, just extra info if it helps: I'm Male, 160 lbs, been on tretinoin cream .05% for past 2 months.
Sorry if that was confusing, I tried to make it as concise as possible. Also I understand the process is different for everyone so I know there is no definite answer, but if anyone has any knowledge on the subject or experience I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

I am almost done with accutane, 2 more weeks and this is my first course. I was just curious did you get to your cumulative dosage? My dermat was telling me when people get to their dosage they have a higher chance of acne not returning. I am a female and I weigh 135 lbs. and I am on a pretty high dosage. 40 mg for may, 60 mg for June, 80 mg for July, 80 mg for Aug, 100 mg for Sept, and 120 mg for month of Oct. Again everyone is different and my fingers are crossed that the acne stays at bay, but just ask your doc if you will reach your cumulative dosage at the end of your course. And all my blood test came back normal too
