I am female aged 23. I always had clear skin as a teenager so when I started breaking out when I was about 21 it was my worst nightmare!
I am due to start accutane in 4 days. I have been taking vitamin a for 10 days hoping it will make the initial break out not as bad! I have broken out quite a lot in the past 2 days so I'm hoping this is like my initial breakout!
I don't have VERY bad acne but it's been getting worse for about a year and I've started to get scars. I constantly have deep cysts that take months to go down and even then I can still feel them under my skin!
Has anyone else taken vitamin a before starting accutane? I am so worried about starting it! :'(
Not sure if vitamin A is anywhere close to accutane in terms of the solution to your acne.
I don't think it will really help with your initial break out. but remember not all people get initially break outs. - I did though.
I've been on accutane for almost 3 full months now and I still am not clear. Things have leveled off for the most part but I still have acne, I still have cysts, etc. You just have to be patient, your on the right path now. Just keep following it.
Anything worth doing, isn't easy.
