Life After Back Acne. Anyone Care To Respond?

Hello. I'm a male in his 30's who has dealt with moderate back acne for the last 20 years.

I recently finished 6 months of Accutane in November. 40 mg the first month and 80 mg the rest of the months. I mainly the cystic acne on the back, shoulders and neck and PF to the chest. The whole shebang.

My back dramatically improved about 3-4 months in. Entirely clear for about 9 months now. And very few noticeable scars.

A full year after treatment, I now have a couple noticeable pimples on my mid and lower back in the same week. I'm only alarmed by these because I've been completely clear for so long.

I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, and it may be a number of factors, but any who has dealt with this issue for so long can understand they don't want it to return. It's been pretty persistent over the years, so it's a little disheartening. And I know Accutane isn't a cure, and the occasional pimple will happen.

Anyone care to respond with a similar experience? Anyone require a second round for only body acne? Just curious.

The only thing you can do is wait and see how it develops. Many people on here have said their acne comes back after a year but it's much more manageable.

What I generally do is panic and start over washing, picking etc when I get an outbreak. I'd try to avoid that and not think about it, however I know what can feel almost impossible to do.

I think hitting the panic button is generally normal after going through Accutane and getting the desired results. I appreciate your response.
