Hey,
I've been on roaccutane for 3 months now. My dosage started low and has been worked up to 50mg per day at the moment with total cumulative dose sitting at 2100 mg roughly. I weigh 80 kilos so a 125mg/per kg dosage would be 10000mg or a lower dosage treatment of 60-70mg/per kg (5000-6000mg).
I plan on stopping the current course in two months, following the conclusion of my 5th month where I'll have taken around a 5100 mg total dosage.
What are peoples thoughts on this dosage range and effectiveness?
I'm also considering just taking a month off from roaccutane before completely the rest of my course.
From what my doctor told me (and by doctor, I mean physicians assistant because all she cares about is her Botox patients...) you cannot be off of accutane for more than two weeks. I was told that the drug will begin to leave your body and you'll have to start the regiment all over again.
