I'm 22 years old male, suffering from acne. I had worse acne back in the days but still today I get moderate acne... I have used accutane 2-3 years ago, it was good but after some month my acne came back.
I was acne free since January but now it's coming back again.... What the fuck should I do?! I don't want to use any bp or topical treatment, because it just kill the acne I have now and it doesn't prevent it coming up.... I want to have something that makes my acne not coming, I'm not going to wait till it appears and then treat it.
Should I go for antibiotics? I know that after using antibiotics my acne will be back, trust me. Do I have to use antibiotics for my whole lifetime? I don't want to wait until I'm 40 or 50...., I want my acne to stop now!
Can't believe acne is destroying the life for so many people! If there is a God out there, you have failed creating us human. Or if it's Darwins evolution, then something fucked up have occurred during this evolution.
Edit: I want advice for oral treatment, not tropical. For tropical I've ordered AHA weekly, moisturizer with SPF and antioxidant from paulas choice.
Sorry to disappoint you but there is no treatment, oral or topical to prevent acne once and for all. Once you stop whatever you use, acne will come back eventually sooner or later. So, you have to accept that and stick to a regimen that works for you and keeps acne under control. Most of the members in this site, including myself, are looking for CONTROLING factors, unless age decides to let us free from acne. Those who are acne free are commited to a kind of regimen with topicals and orals, and even diaetary help, but i suppose that if they stop it, acne would return.

So what kind of oral treatment do u recommend? I want long term use. Using for some couples of years and then see if my acne is really gone forever or not...
What kind of oral treatment should I go? Supplements? Maybe Chinese traditional medicine? Going to see my derm this Frida. Got a feeling that he will give me antibiotic, again....
I have already been fighting this war 8 years(!) against my acne. I can't stand it anymore. I think it's genetic because my mom also suffered from acne when young. May be my hormones struggling...
I don't want to fight anymore, I want cease fire... I'm 22 and I hope it will stop ASAP.
Discuss with your doctor the alternative of a supplement combination. Perhaps saw palmetto with vitamin D or inositol with fish oil. I cant take the chance to give you a specific perscription. This must be personalized and customized to your needs. So, discuss with your doc. Check on the posts here from other sufferers that combine supplements to get an idea. Best of luck to you!
The doc gave me antibiotic treatment... Have been using it 1.5 weeks and Im 98% clear! Quite effective. She also gave me some kind of zinc herbs, probably traditional chinese med(?). It's like tea, using boiling water and then drink. So I'm not quite sure if it's the antibiotic who keep me clear or if it's zinc drink.. She also gave me differin but I'm not sure if that will help.
Btw, my stuffs rom paula choice just arrived. It's aha weekly, moisturizer with SPF, and a antioxidant serum(unnecessarily purchase?)
How should I combine these stuff, and can I use differin together with paula choice products?
I think that antibiotic is just a short term solution, but I which I could use it forever.. So I hope to find a long term solution that will keep me clear after antibiotic.
