Btw what is with my doc saying well also try "lifestyle changes" what the ! Made me so angry I was seriously gna go skitzo on her but I decided to listen cause she hadn't written the prescription yet but really, if it was as easy as a simple lifestyle change #drinkmorewater or #exercisealittle and #eatlessdairy&junk then I wouldn't be in her room trying not to beg her for something that I have a right to be prescribed in the first place. It's so frustrating how difficult they make it especially when that's the only drug that is known to cure acne. If I was depressed or was to just act depressed they would without hesitation prescribe me anti depressants but when it comes to acne it's all about "don't think about it, that makes it worse" or "just keep yourself occupied" and "get out there more". Try waking up in the morning with a fkn minefield on you face and then give me advice. Just prescribe the drug! Its easier to get some Mary Jane! It's like they're playing with us they know how badly we want it and in the end they're going to give it anyway, don't waste our time. We want to be free of our acne. It's not all about vanity. I want to look someone in the eye without doubting myself, I want to lift this barrier and join society again. I've been a cast away for too long!
It was very frustrating to me as well to finally start the new meds (I believe I am on the generic Myorisan 60mg/day). Even after I finally had the script in hand, I had to go to several pharmacies just to find one that had it in stock! I am on day 3 so let's hope this really works. Here is to a more clear future ~
So, did you start your treatment yet? I am more than a week and a half in and it's already been terrible. I started out pretty clear because I was on Minocycline and it was working moderately well, but I still had minor outbreaks. My skin is so dry it hurts and the peeling is horrendous. Not only that, but a few days in and I am breaking out like never before.
I am in customer service so severely flaky skin coupled with much worse than normal acne... not feeling so great right now : /
I'm totally in the same boat.. Started 40mg on the 14th of this month but I've been on tane since the 7th of March but on a low dosage. Now I'm breaking out like crazy, it's painful, dry and impossible to cover with makeup. This is the worst my skin has been I think, but that's what I always say lol.. Let's hope we start clearing up soon. I used to be a waitress and I know how hard it can be without acne so I can't imagine what your going through! Keep me updated )
