I didn't start noticing dryness until about 2 weeks in. And actually, the skin on my body started to dry-out before the skin on my face did. In the first couple weeks of taking accutane the skin on my face was actually much *oilier* than usual. Prevention is key. Treat your skin like it is dry now and it won't be as awful when it actually starts getting dry.

I had dryness on my face within 3 or 4 days, but I was taking too much. My lips were dry almost immediately, and I had to keep putting stuff on them. The hair dryness took longer to come, but it was probably the most welcome side effect.

However, in the first few days of Accutane, I felt like I had been hit by a bus. I had constant headaches and was sore all over.
