i think if you haven't had any luck with those antibiotics then the tetracycline probably wont work very well for you but you should ask your derm what they think. you could try bactrim (as long as you arent allergic to sulfa drugs) and there is erythromycin and then lastly you could try keflex. that stuff was a miracle worker for me and it worked in 5 days. i was at the point where no other antibiotic would work so that is why i went that route because i had tried every single other one. i took 500mg twice a day.
here is a list of antibiotics most commonly used for acne:

one thing to note is that you need a good regimen as well as the antibiotics. what do you currently use on your face? if you dont use an AHA/BHA daily i would add that right away.

I am current on differin and I started tetra at the exact beginning of my fourth month of a birth control pill. Since I started I've seen a moderate improvement but I'm not sure if it's the birth control kicking in or the tetra. I wasn't even expecting it to work since doxy had zero effect on me and it's hailed as the best.
I'm kinda hoping it is the birth control working and not the tetra. I still get pimples but very few.
How likely is it that tetracycline will work if doxycycline didn't work last April (took for two months) and minocycline didn't work several years ago?
I heard it's the weakest of the tetracycline family
Tetracycline would work for you if your acne became suddenly milder, but if it didn't I'd think not otherwise. It could have some effect, but not much.
I agree with tracy that you need to do more with your face if possible, perhaps go on a potent retinoid.
