Hi guys! I need some help here. I've been on isotretinoin (generic version) for 4 weeks now (29 days to be exact) and I think i might be having an initial breakout last week. The thing is, the new acne that I got is totally different from what I used to get. I developed tiny bumps (kind of like a clogged pores) on my forehead and some of them have have little pus on them, unlike the normal whiteheads that are filled with pus. I'm also breaking out on my jawline with the same type of acne as my forehead, but they itch a little bit. I've never had anything like this before. I was wondering if this is some kind of a rash or irritation or it is just an initial breakout?

The first 3 weeks, however, my jawline and forehead were as clear as day, I don't normally breakout in those area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think there are two possibilities:

1. Might be a little bit of an initial breakout from the Accutane. Sometimes the initial breakout can give you different acne than you're used to having.

2. Might be pityrosporum folliculitis - this can look like tiny, itchy, white bumps. Often people treat this with miconazole cream which you can get on Amazon.

In any case, hopefully it passes soon!
