I purchased a generic one called Retirides 0.1% crema.. I'm not using for my acne since I'm 95% clear, more so for my scarring/hyperpigmentation/uneven skin tone..

ANYWAYS

I applied a liberal pea sized amount to my whole face and I felt no discomfort or discoloration...is that normal?

How long has it been since you applied it? It's meant to be applied at night.

2nd Night. I used it again the 2nd night because again, I felt no discomfort the first night. I do in fact wake up with a slightly red face...but that could be my moisturizer.

Just updating:

Day after 2nd application - face does feel sensitive and is red. I will now take a day 2 break from Retin A then re apply.
