Has anyone started Accutane when they were at a fairy clear point? The reason that I want to go on Accutane is that I am 26, tired of daily topical regimens, tired of diets (less than 100g of carbs a day, no sugar, no dairy, to the point I am scared to eat) and just want it over with. (Maybe it won't cure me but it's the best chance that I have). I have 2 actives at the moment and a few lumps from old cysts. Quantity of acne isn't the problem now but when I do breakout, it is always either a nodule or a hard and deep pustule which leaves indented scars.
What should I expect initial breakout wise? I am going to use BP for the first 2-3 weeks just in case and load up on moisturizer.
so hard to say- it's really a roll of the dice
if you don't have a lot of clogged pores to begin with, in theory you should be less likely to have a breakout...in theory
just jump in, start on a lower dose and build up that also helps avoid the IB, in theory!
No clogged pores. My acne just seems to come out of nowhere without warning 
But you're right I am just going to have to jump in. Wouldn't it be nice if theory always held true with acne though?
