Hello all, I am hoping to get some advice. On 10/20/2013 (about a month ago) I finished my first round ever of Accutane, I did 40MG a day for 3 and a half months. My total dosage was 3600MG. By the time I was done with the course my face had stopped producing oil and all my acne was gone on both my face and back. My skin was very oily when I started and I would describe my acne as moderate.

Well here I am about 1 month later and I notice my skin is starting to become oily again, I am also noting small blemishes starting to form. Prior to starting accutane I had done research and determined that for my body weight (160 pounds) that my total cumulitave dose should be 10,800MG. I am well aware that I stopped 1 month ago having only taking 1/3 of my calculated cumulitave dose. The reason I stopped was because my skin was no longer oily, my acne was gone, and I thought I had resolved the issue. Obviously my fear is that I did not get enough accutane in my system and now the problems are starting to come back.

So I am planning to wait around one more month and then do another 3600MG course @ 40MG per day. doing so would give me the reccomended 2 month downtime between courses.

When I do this will the two 3600MG courses combine to give me a 7200MG cumulitave dose? Or did I waste the progress I made with the first course by stopping too early?
