Does anyone else get super oily skin from using retinoids? I've tried differin, tazorac, and retin-a and they all made my skin produce so much more oily than usual. They also made my pores look huge.

It's possible, I remember Dr. Neil Schultz saying that it causes oily skin.

Yep. I used tretinoin cream a few times n my face is STILL super oily. I have not used it in almost 3 months now n it has not gone back to normal!!! Gave me red patches of skin too n no I did not over use it. Fuck retinoids!!!

I have no idea if this is true but I read something once that said skin care products and medications that work to remove dead skin/increase skin cell turnover remove the natural layer of dead skin cells that normally have a mattifying affect on your skin and therefore make your skin look more oily. Like 90% of this stuff who knows whats true or not but this did seem to make some sense to me.
