So i am considering taking accutane, but i'm really afraid because of all the side affects i've been hearing about. Did you have a bad initial breakout and how long did it last? And did you experience hair shedding? I really want my skin to clear up after suffering from acne for 5 years and all other products i've tried not working. But these side affects i keep hearing about really concern me and make me wonder if i should take it

Im on my second course. The first time it worked great but came back. I did have a IB each time but nothing too bad. The only side effects I really had were skin dryness and dry lips.

how long does the IB last? Did you get it around the 2 week point?

Yeah around the 2 week point. Mine lasted a couple weeks both times. Nothing too bad. Everyone is different though. It depends on your dose, skin type, etc.
