What is the minimum time be between courses of Accutane and how many courses can a person do safely? Oral isotretinoin for the last few months has definitely helped with my middle age sebaceous hyperplasia. My course started in March at just 10mg per day and was slowly ramped up to 40mg/day. Doc was very conservative. Aside from dry lips and slightly dry skin (lip balm and Neutrogena sun screen solve both) it has been very tolerable and the results good with overall improvement of skin and hyperplasia. Once the treatment ends it is almost certain that my condition will return in a few months, that's just how sebaceous hyperplasia is. The positive effects on my skin and self esteem are totally worth the minor side effects I deal with. If I can continuously alternate courses and breaks safely I would do it. Thank you!
