Hi I was just wondering if taking the antibiotic septra or bactrim will anyway help get rid of small bumps or comedones, or is this medicine mainly used for cystic acne. i have mostly small comedones on my cheeks but started taking septra as well as retin a to get rid of it. anyone had success with this antibiotic?

Well Ive been on it about 3 months with Epiduo and the Bactrim doesnt completely stop the smaller stuff from popping up it does help prevent a bad IB from the retnoid. A couple years ago I went on Differin with out a Antibiotic and broke out in cystic acne which I never usually get. This time I havent and my spots seem to fade alot quicker.

Yeah I can definitely start to see improvement. Im getting close to the end of month 2 using Epiduo, (3 on Bactrim). The first month there was little to no improvement though.
