I read lot of acne prescription creams/gels don't work based on ppl expereinces. But for those that do work, is there any that doesn't have any initial breakout?

The same with antibiotics. Is there any that work but doesn't have any initial breakout/purging?

Ive never had an initial break-out from 2.5 benzoyl peroxide.(you may get redness/irritation if you use too much bp or any topical so you may want to apply less). Ive also taken oral minocyclen with no initial break-out.

I can see how certain meds like accutane cause increased acne before it gets better but to be honest, if youre getting worse instead of better with topicals/meds they probably wont work. Antibiotics work well for a temporary fix, just not a long-term solution.

Hi. I actually forgot to mention that i meant a prescription cream that you get from a dermatologist only and not an over the counter cream like benzoyl peroxide.

I mean like retin a, differin, eludio and stuff like that...

I had no initial breakout from Epiduo - and it's not an antibiotic, it's 2.5% BP plus a retinoid.
