I'm new to this so, hiiiiii :) I'm 18 years old and have been on Retin A for a little over a year and a half, I use it every night before bed. For the most part my acne is gone but i still get some pimples here and there and i have ugly dark acne scars. cleanse my face with simple moisturuzing cleanser and moisturize with a mixture of pure coconut oil and aveeno positively radiant. My biggest problem is that i still have crazy dry flaky but still combination skin. That dry skin makes it almost impossible to apply foundation. So do you guys think I should get off it? Or only use it every other day? Or do you have any recommendations of foundations and moisturizers? Or am I just doing something wrong? I'm getting desperate. :((

I remember being on retin-a I would never really wear foundation because my skin around the acne spot would constantly peel and it just wasn't nice to look at. Most probably you need a better moisturizer. You can always try to visit make-up counters to see what kind of foundation they suggest for that issue.

Even now on benzoyl peroxide, I get the occasional spot and I do make sure to not forget to moisturize so I don't get dryness or flakyness. I found that a few drops of jojoba oil with my moisturizer makes a lot of difference. Give that a shot.
