I decided to stop taking accutane after being on it for 2 months, the reason being I can't stand the side effects, I've had alot of tinnitus that has been disturbing my sleep alot, joint pain and some IBS.
My question now is - how long would you say I have to wait before tanning, taking vitamin A and drinking?

Smart! Don't touch it again! I would wait at least a month or even two and I would not do mega dosing of Vit A either. I am hoping for a speedy recovery of your side effects and since you took it for a short time you should be okay Good Luck
the side effects deff suck lol my purse is like a haven of stuff lol 3 different kinds of chapsticks vitamin e oil in a spray tube lotion lol eye drops (just in case) nasal spray (just in case) lol so funny but worth it for me i guess :/ id wait atleast 30days or consult with a dermatologist on how long they think is best you should be able to jut call the office and speak with his nurse.
I'd say wait at least a month. What was your dose per day? Have you thought about reducing your dose?
Ok My dose was 20mg the first month, and 40 mg the second month. Im not sure reducing the dose would help out in the long run, and I'm afraid of getting permanent side effects if I keep taking accutane.
Are you staying VERY hydrated?
Yeah, I try to drink water as often as I can, still doesn't help much

Allright Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!

Yeah I know, the dry skin/dry lips is really annoying, I've also had pretty dry eyes, and it's really annoying if you use contact lenses. Thanks for the advice
As often as you can, but not all the time, seriously - I carried a gallon jug of water around everywhere I went. I really believe that it's the reason I avoided the intolerable side effects. It makes a HUGE difference. The few days that I didn't stay totally hydrated were definitely 100x worse than when I did.

Good for you....you need to listen to your body. Accutane is one of the most dangerous drugs on the market and your side effects are not uncommon.
I would consult your doctor or dermatologist about these issues, although I would say give it a month.
