Hi, 17 year old male here. I took Accutane as a 16 year old from November 2012 to June 2011 with my highest dose being 60mg. My skin remained clear through the summer, but as early as October new spots were popping up. In November the dermatologist perscribed a topical that didn't work before, Ziana, saying my skin would react differently this time around. Instead, all Ziana did was burn my face and give me the look of a tomato for the 2 months that I used it. Late February and early March has shown me that Accutane failed to do its job. I am getting zits in the same areas as I did pre-Accutane, and there are over 40 of them - mostly small - but a few very large ones.

Considering it has more been more than 6 months since my first Accutane treatment and I have tried another cure post-Accutane, would I be a candidate for a second, hopefully final, course of Accutane?

I also think there should be a pinned thread for Accutane users seeking a second course. We are perhaps more anxious than first time Accutane users because we had clear faces and now we do not. We long to get that back. I know that my anxiety and depression regarding my face is far worse than it was the first time I took Accutane. It is as if I know that I look bad no matter how few zits I have. I feel like if I have any, then I look horrible. Confidence is at an all-time low.
